Almost every institution, company, and entity involves employees. Attorney Platte advises clients about all areas of employment law: hiring, personnel policies, job descriptions, warnings, layoffs, terminations, and litigation. He has advised clients and successfully tried cases about all types of employment discrimination. Attorney Platte is a mediator and an American Arbitration Association Labor Arbitrator.

He has represented clients for 35 years in all aspects of employment law, such as wage and hour law, union matters, union organizing drives, unfair labor practices, and discrimination cases.

Attorney Platte has substantial federal and state law experience advising clients in all aspects of employment discrimination based on family leave, race, religion, disability, sex, national origin, age, marital status, and union status. He has tried many employment discrimination cases before administrative agencies, state courts, and federal courts, and frequently conducts seminars for clients in order to instruct supervisors on the requirements of the various anti-discrimination laws and the procedures to be followed to avoid costly and time-consuming litigation based on claims of illegal discrimination.

Attorney Platte has also tried cases before the Public Employees’ Relations Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.

First he advises clients how to stay out of court. But if an employee or ex-employee files a lawsuit, Attorney Platte will mediate, arbitrate, or litigate according to the client’s instructions.

Attorney Platte can prepare golden parachutes from the viewpoint of both executive officers and institutions.

Attorney Platte also drafts and litigates covenant not to compete for contracts and agreements by ex-employees not to solicit clients.
